DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n\n\n\n\nUTRCA is hosting a hands-on soil health assessment workshop on Thursday\, September 19th from 1 pm – 3 pm. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a hands-on workshop on soil and soil health where you’ll gain practical knowledge and skills from industry experts for assessing and improving the soil quality of your fields. \n\n\n\nTraining highlights include: \n\n\n\n\nidentifying soil textures\, soil profiles\, and signs of tillage erosion\,\n\n\n\nhow to use simple tools and the Soil Health Assessment Plan Soil Health Indicators to assess soil health and degradation\,\n\n\n\ndeveloping recommendations in a Soil Health Plan based on your assessments\, and\n\n\n\ncurrent cost-share funding programs and knowledge sharing opportunities for improving soil health.\n\n\n\n\nThis event is offered in partnership with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture\, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA)\, Soil Resource Group (SRG)\, Soils at Guelph\, and Ontario Soil Network \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please contact Beth Wrona\, UTRCA Agricultural Stewardship Technician\, at wronab@thamesriver.on.ca. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost to attend this event.
