Ottawa Rideau Soil and Crop Site demonstrating delayed haying, as well as rotational grazing, and crop rotation on a managed hay field with wildlife habitat improvement goals at it’s center -my soil health goals are to improve the soil whenever and wherever possible!
  • Last field quality is good and yield great never know it was so late on the season. In June there was not much hay here at all it was so dry but the July rain really made it grow.
  • Two fields down one to go. Yield was good quality fair.
  • Rain and rotation how great is that? The cows always have fresh grass. And every two week they get go for a walk on the road even more fun for the cars that have to wait on them. 😄
  • On the move to those greener pastures.
  • Looking to get out. Hopping for greener pastures.
  • That first taste of a new field.
