I have been working with my family farming for over 10 years. I am farming along side my parents and grandparents. We farm 160 acres of mostly sandy soil, this limits our ability to have wheat in our rotation. Our regular rotation has been corn and soy with interest in growing biomass crops and grasses to help rebuild the soil. We also farm 70,000 broiler chickens. Currently we are looking into establishing biomass to improve soil structure, plant cover crops when possible, and are working in conjunction with various researchers and industrial partners to bring new products and techniques to the Canadian agricultural industry.
