Soil Health Assessment and Plan
Elevate Your Farm's Productivity and Join a Leading Agricultural Initiative in Ontario!
Join one of two pioneering programs focused on enhancing soil health across Ontario. Whether you're part of the Greenbelt or other regions in Ontario, your participation will drive forward our understanding and management of soil health.
Participate in Critical Soil Health Research:
- Greenbelt SHAP Program: Farmers within the Greenbelt region receive a comprehensive soil health test valued at $400. This includes an advanced assessment and standard fertility analysis, helping develop the SHAP tool with authentic local data.
- Soils at Guelph SHAP Ground-Truthing Project: Farmers outside the Greenbelt region can help populate Ontario’s soil health database, enhancing the SHAP tool’s accuracy by refining its scoring functions based on soil texture.
Why Participate?
- Tailored Soil Insights: Receive a comprehensive assessment conducted directly on your farm, with comparative analyses to regional benchmarks.
- Dedicated Support: After testing, benefit from personalized one-on-one reporting support to help you understand and utilize your results effectively.
- Drive Innovation: Contribute to creating a scalable, locally adapted method for soil health evaluation that will benefit the entire Ontario agricultural community.
