I have been farming full time for 2 years, but helping since I was young. My dad and I farm 500 acres together as well as milk 85 holsteins. Our rotation consists of corn, wheat, alfalfa and cover crops. I have incorporated more cover crops with goals of nitrogen building, water infiltration and holding capacity, less erosion and more microbial activity. I plan on having a living root on every acre all year round.
