I'm Soil Fertility Specialist for Field Crops with OMAFRA. Previously, I worked as an agronomist with an ag retailer in Kent County. I also farm with my brother alongside my dad and uncle. Altogether, we farm roughly 850ac - corn, soybeans, wheat, black beans, processing sweet corn, processing peas, buckwheat - and custom feed ~50 head of beef cattle from fall-spring. As an extension specialist, I work to learn and promote both on-farm experiences and research studies to others in the community. From the farm side, we have a goal to build soil organic matter, improve soil retention through use of cover crops, and improve nutrient use efficiency.
