I've been farming fulltime for about 3 years with my dad, and uncle, their families, our employees, and my girlfriend. We farm appx 2500ac, with another 2000ac of custom farming. Rotation is Corn - Soybeans - Corn - Nattos - Winterwheat - canola - Winter wheat with cover crops seeded whenever it’s possible. We implement cover crops and have been working towards reduced tillage. We strip till corn, min-till wheat/canola, min-till/no-till beans. We'd like to do more no till, but have issues dealing with previous years residue, and slugs. Looking to implement more cover crops, perhaps by drone in standing crops, and continue to work towards less tillage.
