I own an agronomic consulting company called Northern Roots Soil Solutions that provides agronomic advice to farmers with a focus on soil health and biological solutions. I look for full systems approaches to agronomy to ensure high yields while improving soil health. In my role as agronomist, I aim to work with the farmer on improving soil health through innovative solutions that are unique to each farming operation. Within our company, we focus on using cover crops, no-till, compost, and other biological amendments to compliment current farming practices. Our priority is understanding the soil biology through consistent sampling and creating farm-specific solutions that will ensure high yields while maintaining and building soil health.
