Our operation started in 1973 as a cow calf farm , with my wife and I working in Kingston. We now have 10 full time, 7 foreign seasonal and occasional part time local employees. The acreage is 2000 acres. No till planting started in 1986 . Cover crops have been used since 2008 in cash crops and vegetable production. Crops include grain corn, soybeans, canola, fall rye,fall wheat, alfalfa, switch grass, hydroponic lettuce and tomatoes, garlic, sweet corn, pumpkins/ squash and a large variety of vegetables. Cash crop rotation is corn, soybean, canola, fall rye or wheat, cover crop . There are no livestock, but are very interested in entering into an agreement with a livestock producer to pasture cover crop.
