Born and raised on a family farm,became active share holder in the 80's,now principle owner with wife Kathy and son Jeremy cropping 1500 A growing corn ,soys ,wheat ,buck wheat ,oats and cover crop mix. Our goal over the last 25 years is to transform to no till as much as possible,we have fields that have been no tilled for 25 years ,some vertical tillage has been employed to set fields on coarse.Corn and soy rotation are set on a 20-20 row spacing. All corn planted 20 inch rows fallowed by soys planted on a ten inch shift no till into untouched corn stalks. No livestock, all fert is direct placed into soil. Farm on clay soil and it has it's own set of rules.Patience is the main one.Waiting for weeks for soil to dry up or freeze so as not to destroy soil structure can drive others nuts.We employe cover
