We are a long term No till farm that is transitioning to the 4th generation. We have a corn, soybean, wheat, rotation on about 1200 ac. We are currently trying to incorporate grazing cattle to our operation. We are currently incorporating cover crops to every owned acre. We have started this approx. 4 yrs ago. We want to use the cover crops to store energy for the next crop also the provide protection from weather extremes and soil erosion. The main lesson learned so far is to go slow and take a long term approach to soil health.
