Family farm for 5 generations. Sod farm since 1977. Have grown recently from 430 acres to 700 acres, but have noticed that monoculture farming of sod has taken its toll on the soil. Also have an egg operation of 13,000 hens. Have spent 2024 learning as much as I can about intensive grazing, cover crops and compost. 2024 was our first year planting cover crops, and we are planning for livestock in 2025.
