We run about 400 acres. 4 crop rotation. Spring wheat, corn, soybeans, and sunflowers. We also run a commercial honey bee operation. Approximately a 100 hives. Try to practice reduce tillage as much as possible, starting using cover crops, introduced interseeding cover crops in 2021. Limiting seed treatments to only problem fields. Introduced cover crops after spring wheat harvest for the past serval years. Tried interseeding corn with a cover crop in 2021. Planning on doing all the corn acreage in 2022. Would like to move towards vertical tillage and eliminate conventical tillage, when only necessary. Tring to improve soil organic matter, microbial life in the soil, and improve soil structure.
